Create a seasonal wreath
Inspire your customers to be creative this Christmas. Perhpas invite them to an in-store crafting evening with all the materials laid out. A ready-made ring makes binding the wreath simple. We used an AXEL candle holder and hung it in a window. The holder comes in different shapes, including one with space for a pot instead of a candle.
How to do it:
1. Prepare by cutting small bouquets and tearing off the lower leaves so that you get bare stems to work with. Start by attaching the wire to the frame. Bind the first bouquet using the wire.
2. Repeat the above steps attaching bouquet after bouquet. The green leaves should always cover the area where the prior bouquet was attached. To get an even wreath make sure that the bouquets are about the same size.
Tip: Try only decorating a portion of the frame, leaving part of it bare for a pretty effect.
3. At the point where you want the decoration to end, take a bouquet which still has all the greenery on. Turn the bouquet in the opposite direction and attach it so that all the stems are hidden. Fix the wire and snip it off. Thanks to the candle holder’s chain and hook, the wreath is easy to hang up.
NB. Remember never to leave candles lit when you can’t keep an eye on them.
